After picking you up from your hotel at the scheduled time, we'll head into the historic centre of Puerto Plata to visit the San Felipe Fortress, one of the city's oldest monuments. We'll examine the Dominican Republic's history and colonial past during this visit.

Next, we'll visit the amber and larimar factory, where you'll learn about these semi-precious stones. We'll delve into connections between amber and the film Jurassic Park.

The next stops will deepen your understanding of Puerto Plata's culture, way of life, and local produce. We'll visit the Macorix rum factory, an artisanal cigar factory, a chocolate factory, and finally, we'll stop at the Malecón to discuss the Merengue festival, a significant aspect of Latin dance culture.

Lastly, a traditional lunch will be available at a restaurant, followed by 1 hour of free time at Puerto Plata's beach, known for its fine white sand and turquoise water. We'll then return to your hotel in Puerto Plata, completing the tour 4 hours after we began exploring the city's best sights.
