Tour Details
The tour begins with pickup at the Puerto Plata cruise port or your hotel at the designated time. We’ll travel to Taino Valley Tropical Park, an ecological reserve featuring trails and statues of ancient Taino gods, providing insights into their culture.
At the Taino Valley viewpoint, participants can enjoy panoramic views before visiting fruit plantations to taste fresh fruits. The tour continues along the Dominican coffee route, where guests learn about coffee production and savor a freshly brewed cup. There will also be a segment on Dominican tobacco and the cigar-making process.
A lunch break is scheduled at the Casa Colonial before heading to Puerto Plata to visit the San Felipe Fortress for views of the Caribbean Sea and its historical significance.
The Amber Museum is next on the agenda, along with visits to Independence Square, the Cathedral, Rose Street, and the colorful street of umbrellas. The tour concludes with drop-off at the original pickup point after a 7-hour experience.
