At the appointed time, pickup will be arranged at your hotel in Puerto Plata. The journey to Santiago de los Caballeros, the second most important city in the country, takes approximately 75 minutes. Upon arrival, the first stop will be a local ceramic factory to learn about the famous Dominican faceless dolls.

Next, we will visit the Cerro del Castillo, the city’s center, where we will see the Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration and learn about its significance. A traditional Dominican meal will follow this visit.

As we explore, we will pass by significant buildings such as the Eduardo León Jimenes Cultural Centre and the Centro León, a museum focused on Dominican culture and art. We will also visit the La Aurora cigar factory, one of the largest in the country, to understand the evolution of tobacco production.

Before concluding the trip, we will walk along Sol Street with its various shops before returning to the minibus for our return to Puerto Plata, completing a 9-hour excursion.
