Discover the colonial past of the Dominican Republic capital and feel the historical value of its main monuments with this Santo Domingo City Tour. You'll also visit one of the most famous natural jewels of the country, the Tres Ojos National Park.
Santo Domingo City Tour
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Puerto Plata at the appointed time and head to the capital of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo. The journey takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.
The tour will start in the Colonial City, the oldest area of the capital, where we will see significant buildings such as the Columbus Lighthouse, the National Pantheon, and the Ozama Fortress, the oldest European-built fort in the Americas.
We will then visit the Primate Cathedral of America, the first cathedral in the Americas, known for its Gothic architecture. We will continue with a walk along Damas Street and El Conde Street, concluding with a stop at the Alcázar de Diego Colón before enjoying a traditional Dominican meal.
Afterward, we will explore the Tres Ojos National Park, an underground cave with three natural lakes. Following a full day, we will return to Puerto Plata, arriving at your hotel 12 hours after pick-up.
