On this excursion from Puerto Vallarta, we'll visit two Magical Towns in the state of Jalisco in one day: Mascota and Talpa de Allende.

Mascota & Talpa de Allende Excursion

At 7:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Vallarta and head east to visit Mascota and Talpa de Allende. Before reaching Mascota, we'll stop in La Estancia for a typical Mexican breakfast.

In Mascota, we'll explore the historic centre, observing colonial architecture and landmarks including the church of Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores, the Municipal Palace, and the unfinished church of the Precious Blood, discussing its connection to the Mexican Revolution.

The final stop will be in Talpa de Allende, where you will have 1 hour and 20 minutes for lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we will begin a guided tour of this Magical Town.

During the tour, we will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Talpa, a pilgrimage site attracting over three million visitors annually. We will cover the history of the basilica, established in 1782, and its Gothic and Churrigueresque architectural styles.

To conclude the excursion, we will return to the minibus and drop you off at your hotel by approximately 8:30 pm.
