Carretera Austral Norte 11-Day Bike Tour

Day 1: Puerto Varas

Meet at 3 pm at the Hotel Germania in Puerto Varas, where we'll finalize tour details and accommodate for the first night.

Day 2: Puerto Varas - La Arena - Hornopirén

After breakfast, we’ll take a minibus to La Arena, then a boat across the Reloncaví Estuary to Caleta Puelche. We’ll cycle along Route 7 to a central hostel in Hornopirén.

Day 3: Hornopirén - Chaitén

Catch a boat for a five-hour journey to Caleta Gonzalo and cycle through lush forests, concluding at a campsite near Chaitén.

Day 4: Chaitén - Yelcho Lake

Ride through Pumalín National Park, stopping at Puerto Cardenas to see the Yelcho River bridge. End the day at a campsite on Yelcho Lake.

Day 5: Yelcho Lake - La Junta

Cycle along the Cuesta Moraga to Villa Santa Lucía, visiting areas impacted by the 2017 mudslide. Stay at a hostel in La Junta.

Day 6: La Junta - Queulat National Park

Ride to Queulat National Park and travel by minibus to Ventisquero hot springs. Stay at a lodge in the park.

Day 7: Queulat National Park

Cycle along Puyuhuapi fjord. Optional hiking route to the Ventisquero Colgante viewpoint. Stay at a lodge in the park.

Day 8: Queulat National Park - Villa Amengual

Face Cuesta Queulat, one of the steepest sections. Enjoy views and end the day at the Cisnes Bed Refuge.

Day 9: Villa Amengual - Puerto Aysén

Bike to Lago Las Torres National Reserve through scenic geological formations. Enjoy lunch in Villa Mañihuales and travel to Puerto Aysén for accommodation at the Hotel Patagonia Green.

Day 10: Puerto Aysén - Coyhaique

Begin with a raft trip, cycling on a peaceful country road. Arrive in Coyhaique for accommodations at the Rumbo Sur Apart Hotel.

Day 11: Coyhaique

Breakfast at the hotel in Coyhaique, concluding the adventure.
