Chacao, Ancud & the Beaches of Chiloé Trip
We will start with a hotel pickup, then proceed to the village of Pargua to take a ferry to Chiloé. During the crossing, you can admire the landscapes of the Chacao Channel and observe local wildlife such as pelicans and sea lions. Once on the island, we will explore Chacao, known for its larch wood houses and churches, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Next, we will visit Caulín, a bay on the north coast, including the Balneario de Caulín famous for oysters and marine wildlife.
Afterwards, we will take a boat to the Puñihuil Islets to see both Magellanic and Humboldt penguins, the only place where these species coexist. We will provide information on their lifestyle and environment.
We will continue to Ancud, the island's capital until 1982, visiting the Regional Museum and San Antonio Fort for insights into Chiloé's history. You will have 1 hour of free time in Ancud for lunch, with local cuisine available at the municipal market. We will return to your hotel around 11 hours after departure.
