Chacao, Ancud & the Beaches of Chiloé Trip
The tour begins with hotel pickup, followed by a trip to the village of Pargua, where we will catch a ferry to Chiloé Island. During the ferry crossing, expect to see landscapes of the Chacao Channel and local wildlife such as pelicans and sea lions. Upon arrival, we'll explore the streets of Chacao, featuring its iconic larch wood houses and churches, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Next, we visit Caulín, known for its beaches, oysters, pearl farms, and marine wildlife. We will then board a boat to the Puñihuil Islets, home to both Magellanic and Humboldt penguins, the only location where these species coexist.
The tour continues to Ancud, the island's former capital until 1982, where we will visit the Regional Museum and San Antonio Fort to learn about Chiloé's history. Following this, you will have 1 hour of free time to have lunch in Ancud, with various options available at the municipal market. Finally, we will return to your hotel, completing the tour approximately 11 hours after departure.
