Chacao, Ancud & the Beaches of Chiloé Trip
We will collect you from your hotel and travel to the village of Pargua. From there, we’ll take a ferry to the island of Chiloé.
During the ferry ride, enjoy the landscapes of the Chacao Channel and observe local wildlife such as pelicans and sea lions. Upon arrival, we will explore Chacao's streets, renowned for its houses and churches made of larch wood, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Next, we will visit Caulín, a bay on Chiloé's north coast, including the Balneario de Caulín, known for its oysters and marine wildlife.
We will then board a boat to the Puñihuil Islets, home to both Magellanic and Humboldt penguins, the only location where these two species coexist. We will discuss their lifestyle and the environment.
The tour continues to the city of Ancud, the island's capital until 1982. We will visit the Regional Museum and San Antonio Fort to learn about Chiloé's history.
Participants will have 1 hour of free time for lunch in Ancud, with local cuisine available at the municipal market.
We will return you to your hotel, approximately 11 hours after departure.
