Tour of Carretera Austral Villages

Between 7:30 and 8 am, pickup will occur at your hotel. We will drive to the village of Caleta La Arena and board a ferry boat for a 35-minute crossing across the Reloncaví estuary towards the Carretera Austral.

Upon disembarking at Caleta Puelche, we will begin the journey along the Carretera Austral, a 745.5-mile (1,200-km) road connecting this area with Villa O'Higgins. This route is known for its larch forests, volcanoes, glaciers, and fjords.

The excursion includes bus rides and short hikes to explore the flora and fauna of the Carretera Austral. We will visit villages like Caleta Pichicolo and Hornopirén, along with natural sites such as the Rio Negro waterfalls and a stratovolcano of 5,157.5 ft (1,572 meters) altitude.

After reaching Hornopirén, we will return, finishing the excursion with hotel drop-off around 7 pm.
