Valdivia Private Excursion
We'll pick you up at your hotel at 8 am. From there, we'll travel to Valdivia, named after Spanish conquistador Pedro de Valdivia, who founded the city in 1522.
The tour begins with a walk along Avenida Arturo Pratt, a waterfront bordering the Calle-Calle River, visiting the Feria Fluvial, a riverside market with views of the History and Contemporary Art Museums across the river.
After the Feria Fluvial, we'll continue on Avenida General Lagos through the oldest district to the Torreón del Canelo, a watchtower built by the Spaniards. We'll explore the historic center next to the Church of San Francisco and proceed to Plaza de la República, observing the cathedral and the government seat. We will cross the Calle-Calle River via the Pedro de Valdivia Bridge to Teja Island.
On the way south on the island, we'll arrive at the town of Niebla, where the Valdivia River meets the Pacific Ocean, leading to the construction of the castle of Niebla. We will visit the museum inside the fort to learn about its history.
Finally, we will return to your hotel, arriving eleven hours after pickup.
