Valdivia Private Excursion
Pickup at your hotel is at 8 am. We will travel from the Los Lagos region to Valdivia, founded by the Spanish conquistador Pedro de Valdivia in 1522.
The tour begins with a walk along Avenida Arturo Pratt, a waterfront adjacent to the Calle-Calle River. Here, we will visit the Feria Fluvial, a riverside market with views of the History and Contemporary Art Museums across the river.
After the Feria Fluvial, you have the option to enjoy a drink. We will proceed along Avenida General Lagos, passing through the oldest district until we reach Torreón del Canelo, a Spanish-built watchtower.
Next, we will explore the historic center near the Church of San Francisco, followed by Plaza de la República, the main square where we will see the cathedral façade and government seat. We will then cross the Calle-Calle River via the Pedro de Valdivia Bridge to Teja Island.
Continuing south on the island, we will arrive in the town of Niebla, where the Valdivia River meets the Pacific Ocean. Here, we will visit the castle of Niebla and its museum to learn about its history as a defensive structure.
Finally, we will return to your hotel, arriving eleven hours after pickup.
