Valdivia Private Excursion
We'll pick you up at your hotel at 8 am. From there, we'll travel from the Los Lagos region to Valdivia, named after the Spanish conquistador Pedro de Valdivia, who founded the city in 1522.
The tour begins with a walk along Avenida Arturo Pratt, a waterfront by the Calle-Calle River. We will visit the Feria Fluvial, a riverside market with views of the History and Contemporary Art Museums across the river.
After the Feria Fluvial, where you can have a drink on your own, we will proceed along Avenida General Lagos through the city's oldest district to the Torreón del Canelo, a watchtower built by the Spaniards.
Next, we will explore the historic center near the Church of San Francisco, then continue to Plaza de la República, where we will see the cathedral and the government seat. From there, we will cross the Calle-Calle River via the Pedro de Valdivia Bridge to Teja Island.
Traveling to the south of the island, we will arrive at Niebla, where the Valdivia River meets the Pacific Ocean. We'll visit the museum in the castle of Niebla to learn about its historical significance as a defensive bastion.
Finally, we will return to your hotel, arriving eleven hours after pickup.
