To enjoy Isabela Island at your own pace, the best way to do so is to rent a bicycle and tour the largest island in the Galapagos on two wheels.

You can pick up your bikes from 8 am in the centre of Puerto Villamil, a small port town with historical significance, where you'll find places like the Wall of Tears, built by prisoners.

You can also ride through the bay of Las Tintoreras, where you'll find specimens of local fauna such as penguins, cormorants, iguanas and turtles.

If you continue cycling through the southern part of the island, be sure to visit the Flamingos Lagoon to see the famous flamingos of the Galapagos Islands.

With this activity, you won't have to worry about rental time; the bicycles are available from pickup until 6 pm.
