Pula Free Tour
At the appointed time we'll kick off our free tour of Pula from Trg Forum. In this central city square, we'll admire the Town Hall building's exterior and the Temple of Augustus, learning why this temple was revered by ancient Romans.
Next, we'll stroll to Pula Castle for the best views of the port city. We'll pause in front of the Statue of James Joyce, discovering the famed Irish writer's connection to this area. Following this, we'll pass under the Serbian Arch, which is over 2,000 years old.
Throughout our tour, we'll see other antiquities, like the Twin and Hercules Gates. Near these iconic arches, we'll contemplate the great monumental jewel of Istria, the Arena of Pula, a remarkable Roman amphitheater reminiscent of the Colosseum in Rome.
Finally, after a 2-hour tour, we’ll conclude at Tito's Park, where we’ll discuss Croatia's Yugoslav past to wrap up the experience.
