Hiking + Caving in Los Gigantes
When you make your reservation, you'll be given the option to choose between one of the following itineraries, based on trail length and activity location. We'll meet at the scheduled time on the RP28 Route of Los Gigantes.
Hiking and Caving in the La Bestia River
Selecting this option involves hiking a total of 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) with medium-high difficulty, taking approximately 9 hours and ascending to 1600 meters (5,250 feet). We will make stops for resting, enjoying views of the province of Cordoba, and consuming your own picnic lunch.
The journey includes traversing the Batán ravine and exploring the underground river La Bestia. We'll descend 72 meters (236 feet) through waterfalls, narrow passages, and five giant chambers. Participants will also swim through a 35-meter (114 feet) narrow section.
The activity concludes back at the meeting point.
Hiking and Caving in the Toro Gorge
Choosing this itinerary includes a 14-kilometer (8.7-mile) hike with medium-high difficulty, reaching a maximum altitude of 2100 meters (6,900 feet) and taking between 8 and 9 hours. Stops will be made to rest, eat, and enjoy the landscapes of Cordoba.
The trail runs along the eastern slope of the Toro ravine to a cave where we will descend to the underground waterfall of El Toro, reaching a depth of 40 meters (131 feet) over 120 meters (400 feet). This path leads to the second-largest underground waterfall on the planet.
After this adventure, we'll return to the meeting point and conclude the experience.
