On this hike through the Los Gigantes mountain range, participants will traverse landscapes and witness the flight of condors native to the area of Cordoba.
Los Gigantes Hiking Tour
At the scheduled time, participants will meet at Route RP28 in Los Gigantes, gather equipment, prepare for the adventure, and learn about the route details.
The medium-difficulty hike will last about 8 hours and cover 16 kilometers (10 miles). The trail traverses the valleys of the Los Gigantes mountain range, reaching altitudes over 2100 meters (6,900 feet) above sea level.
Initially, hikers will cross the eastern slope, passing through the La Cuchilla gorge. Next, the La Senda gorge will provide access to the valleys, requiring navigation of a steep natural staircase. Multiple stops will be made for resting, enjoying views, and consuming the picnic lunch provided by participants.
In the valley, the corridors of Anjo, Mocho, and Jano will be explored, with an exceptional viewpoint at Jano to observe the flight of condors.
The hike will conclude at 6 pm back at the meeting point.
