On this advanced-level hike along trail 16 in the Valle de los Lisos, participants will enjoy natural scenery in Cordoba while canyoning.
Valle de los Lisos Hiking and Canyoning
We will meet at 8 am at route RP28 in Los Gigantes for a brief technical talk and to gather materials.
The hike will cover a distance of 19 to 21 kilometers (12-13 miles) on a medium-high-difficulty trail, taking approximately 8 hours to complete. The route will ascend peaks reaching 2100 meters (6,900 feet) above sea level.
This route traverses rugged terrain in the Valle de los Lisos Reserve of the Los Gigantes mountain range in Córdoba, Argentina. We will make stops for rest, views, and to eat the picnic lunch participants bring.
The hike leads to the Truchas waterfall, where participants can take a refreshing dip before starting the canyoning adventure. Participants will wear wetsuits and life jackets to navigate several rivers between narrow rock walls, testing agility and skill.
Our day will conclude around 6 pm back at the meeting point.
Easier Hike
For a simpler route suitable for families, it is recommended to consider a beginner-level hiking and canyoning activity along trail 1 in the Valle de los Lisos.
