2-Day Trip to La Paz & the Salar de Uyuni

Join us on this 2-day trip from Puno to La Paz and the Salar de Uyuni.

Tour Details

Day 1: Puno – La Paz – Uyuni

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Puno to take a tour bus to La Paz, a journey lasting 8 hours. Upon arrival in La Paz, you will have free time to explore the city and El Alto. In the evening, an overnight bus ride with reclining seats will commence, taking approximately 10 hours to reach Uyuni.

Day 2: Salar de Uyuni

After arriving in Uyuni in the morning, you'll visit a café for breakfast and bathroom access. We can suggest accommodations until the tour starts. Post-breakfast, we'll visit the Train Cemetery for 1.5 hours, followed by a trip to Colchani and the Salar de Uyuni, stopping at artisanal workshops and a salt processing plant.

Next, we will visit Ojos de Salar and the Sal de Playa Blanca Hotel museum. The tour includes Incahuasi Island, known for its giant cacti. After a sunset over the Salar, we will return to Uyuni, where you can be dropped off at the bus station or another location of your choice.

Additional Info

Hotel pickup is included for those in the centre of Puno. If staying outside, meet at the Puno Bus Terminal (Terminal Terrestre). Please arrive at the Puno Bus Terminal by 6:40 am. We advise finding accommodation in Uyuni or booking a bus leaving after 8 pm on the last day.
