Colca Canyon 2-Day Tour

Day 1: Puno - Chivay

Pickup from your hotel in Puno takes place between 6:15 and 6:30 am, followed by a journey to Chivay, approximately 300 kilometers (186 miles) away. The route includes crossing the altiplano with wetlands, lagoons, streams, and plains, offering views of various mammals and birds.

Continuing to Patahuasi, we enter Colca Canyon, passing the crater of Chucura volcano and stopping at a viewpoint at 4,910 meters (just over 16,100 feet).

By 1 to 1:30 pm, we arrive at a hotel in Chivay for lunch on your own. Dinner and overnight accommodations are also at this hotel, with free time available after lunch for visiting Chivay or enjoying thermal baths.

Day 2: Chivay - Cruz del Condor - Chivay - Arequipa

Breakfast is followed by a trip to Cruz del Condor, the primary viewpoint of the Colca Canyon, where you have two hours to enjoy the scenery and potentially see condors.

We return to Chivay via Andean towns such as Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque, enjoying views of terraces and archaeological remains. After an hour for lunch in Chivay, we depart for Arequipa at approximately 1 pm, arriving between 4:30 and 5 pm.

This tour includes one night of accommodation with breakfast in Chivay. Choices for accommodation include:

All accommodations are in double rooms.

Hotel Pickup

Pickup from hotels in central Puno is included. If staying on the outskirts, guests must reach Calle Jiron Arequipa near Plaza de Armas.

Please note that pickup is not available from specific hotels, including GHL Lago Titicaca and any accommodations on the Uros Islands.
