Copacabana & Island of the Sun Trip

Cross the border between Peru and Bolivia and enjoy a boat ride on Lake Titicaca on this fantastic trip to Copacabana and the Island of the Sun.

Tour Details

After hotel pickup in Puno at the designated time, we will travel by bus to the Bolivian city of Copacabana. We will cross the border and arrive around 11 am. A walking tour will include the facade of the Basilica of the Virgin of Candelaria, a significant pilgrimage site established in the XVII century.

Next, we will stop for a meal including a plate of chicken or trout and a drink. Following lunch, we will proceed to the port for a boat ride to the Island of the Sun, offering scenic views of Lake Titicaca.

Upon arrival, a guided tour lasting around two hours will cover the fountain of eternal youth and the origins of Inca culture, featuring ancient sanctuaries.

After touring the Island of the Sun, we will take the boat back to Copacabana. We will then switch transport to return to Puno by bus, arriving at approximately 8:30 pm.

Hotel Pickup

This tour includes pickup from hotels located in the center of Puno. If your accommodation is on the outskirts, you must reach Calle Jirón Arequipa near Plaza de Armas.

Pickup is not available from several hotels, including GHL Lago Titicaca, Casa Andina Premium, Sonesta Posada, and hotels on the Uros Islands.
