Day Trip to Sillustani

Tour Details

After hotel pickup, we will travel northeast for approximately 45 minutes to reach the archaeological site of Sillustani. Located on the shores of Lake Umayo at almost 13,123 feet (4,000 meters) above sea level, visitors will observe the chullpas, tombs built in tower-like structures. These pre-Inca constructions have a greater diameter at the top than at the bottom.

During your visit, you will learn about the ancient Colla culture and their funeral rituals. The tour also provides views of Lake Umayo, regarded as sacred by local cultures. After exploring Sillustani, we will return to your hotel in Puno, with a total trip duration of approximately three and a half hours.

Hotel Pickup

This tour includes pickup from hotels in central Puno. If your accommodation is elsewhere, you must go to Jiron Arequipa Street, near the Plaza de Armas.
