La Paz & Uyuni Salt Flat 3 Day Trip

On this 3-day excursion to La Paz and the Uyuni Salt Flat from Puno, we will explore two notable locations in Bolivia.

La Paz & Uyuni Salt Flat 3-Day Trip

Day 1: Puno - La Paz

At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puno and cross from Peru into Bolivia, stopping for lunch on the way. We will arrive in La Paz around 3 pm and visit the city's cable car, followed by a brief guided tour of the colonial quarter, including the Church of San Francisco and Murillo Square with the Cathedral of Our Lady of La Paz and the Legislative and Government Palace. After some free time for dinner, we will depart for Uyuni at 8 pm.

Day 2: Uyuni Salt Flat - La Paz

We will arrive in Uyuni early in the morning and have breakfast at a local restaurant. A jeep will take us to the Uyuni Salt Flat, with a stop at the Uyuni Train Cemetery. In Colchani, we will observe salt extraction and visit the Playa Blanca hotel, made entirely from salt blocks. A traditional regional lunch will be provided. We will then explore Incahuasi Island in the heart of the salt flat, where you will have free time for pictures before returning to Uyuni. There will be additional free time for shopping and dinner before we gather at 8 pm for the bus back to La Paz.

Day 3: La Paz - Pomata - Juli - Puno

After arriving in La Paz at 5 am, we will take a bus to Desaguadero for border crossing. Breakfast will be available before heading to Pomata to visit the Santiago Apostol Church. Next, we’ll visit Juli, known as Little Rome, and see the church of San Juan de Letrán or Our Lady of the Assumption (subject to availability). We will return to Puno and drop you off at your hotel by around 1 pm.

Overnight Bus

This tour does not include accommodation, but the return journey from La Paz to Uyuni will be conducted on an overnight bus.
