La Paz & Uyuni Salt Flat 3 Day Trip

On this 3-day excursion to La Paz and the Uyuni Salt Flat from Puno, we'll explore two significant locations in Bolivia.

La Paz & Uyuni Salt Flat 3-Day Trip

Day 1: Puno - La Paz

At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puno and cross the border into Bolivia. A lunch stop will be made at your leisure en route to La Paz. We will arrive around 3 pm and visit the city's cable car, crucial for public transport. A guided tour will follow, covering the colonial quarter, including the Church of San Francisco and Murillo Square, home to the Cathedral of Our Lady of La Paz and the Legislative and Government Palace. You will then have free time for dinner before we take the bus to Uyuni at 8 pm.

Day 2: Uyuni Salt Flat - La Paz

We will arrive in Uyuni early morning and have breakfast at a local restaurant at your convenience. A jeep will then take us to the Uyuni Salt Flat, stopping at the Uyuni Train Cemetery along the way. In Colchani, we will observe salt extraction and visit the Playa Blanca hotel. A traditional lunch will be provided before heading to Incahuasi Island to explore and take pictures. After returning to Uyuni, you will have time to rest and dine before we leave for La Paz at 8 pm.

Day 3: La Paz - Pomata - Juli - Puno

Arriving in La Paz at 5 am, we will take a bus to Desaguadero to cross the border back into Peru. After breakfast on your own, we will proceed to Pomata to visit the colonial Santiago Apostol Church. Next, we will stop in Juli, also known as Little Rome, to see the Church of San Juan de Letrán or Our Lady of the Assumption. Following these visits, we will return to Puno and drop you at your hotel around 1 pm.

Overnight Bus

This tour does not include accommodation; the return bus journey between La Paz and Uyuni is made at night, allowing you to sleep on the overnight bus.
