La Paz & Uyuni Salt Flat 3-Day Trip

Day 1: Puno - La Paz

The adventure begins at 9 am with a hotel pickup in Puno. We will cross the border into Bolivia, stopping for lunch at your leisure en route to La Paz. Arriving around 3 pm, we will visit the city's cable car, the most significant in South America, and enjoy a guided tour of the colonial quarter along 16 de Julio and Mariscal Santa Cruz avenues, seeing the Church of San Francisco, Murillo Square, the Cathedral of Our Lady of La Paz, and the Legislative and Government Palace. After some free time for dinner, we will take a bus to Uyuni at 8 pm.

Day 2: Uyuni Salt Flat - La Paz

We arrive in Uyuni early and go for breakfast on your own before taking a jeep to the Uyuni Salt Flat, the largest salt desert in the world. We will stop at the Uyuni Train Cemetery, an open-air museum. In Colchani, we will observe salt extraction and visit the Playa Blanca hotel, made entirely from salt blocks. A regional lunch will follow before heading to Incahuasi Island in the heart of the salt flat, where you can take pictures. After more free time in Uyuni for dinner and rest, we will reconvene at 8 pm to catch the bus back to La Paz.

Day 3: La Paz - Pomata - Juli - Puno

We will arrive in La Paz at 5 am and take a bus to Desaguadero to cross the border again, stopping for breakfast before heading to Pomata. Here, we will visit the colonial Santiago Apostol Church. Next, we will go to Juli, known for its religious buildings and visit the Church of San Juan de Letrán or Our Lady of the Assumption. After these visits, we will return to Puno, dropping you off at your hotel around 1 pm.

Overnight Bus

This tour does not include accommodation; the return bus journey between La Paz and Uyuni occurs overnight. You will sleep on the overnight bus.
