Visit the Jesuit temple of Santiago Apostle and its eerie catacombs decorated with skulls and bones with this excursion to Lampa, where you'll also see its colonial buildings built with pink ashlar stone.

We'll pick you up at 8 am at your hotel in Puno to head north for a 2-hour drive to Lampa.

Upon arrival, we'll visit the Jesuit temple of Santiago Apostle. Inside, there are Christian relics such as a sculpture of the Virgin of Chiquinquira, a leather crucifix, the silver image of the Immaculate Conception, and a replica of the Pietà by Michelangelo.

Next, we'll access the atrium of the church and enter the ancient catacombs, which feature skulls and bones displayed in organized arrangements.

After the temple visit, we'll stroll through the streets of Lampa, observing colonial buildings like the Casona Frisancho and the pink ashlar stone Municipality of Lampa. We'll also view the Cal y Canto bridge, renowned for its beauty before its collapse.

On our return to Puno, we will stop at a local market for shopping, providing an opportunity to purchase souvenirs.

We will arrive in Puno and drop you off at your hotels at 3 pm.
