Pickup is at 8 am from your hotel in Puno for a 2-hour drive to Lampa.

Upon arrival, the first stop is the Jesuit temple of Santiago Apostle, a local symbol. Inside, explore Christian relics, including a sculpture of the Virgin of Chiquinquira, a leather crucifix of Christ, the silver image of the Immaculate Conception, and the Pietà, a replica of Michelangelo's work in St. Peter's Basilica.

Next, access the atrium of the church, a rectangular area surrounded by 8 towers, and enter the ancient catacombs. Visit this mausoleum and its ossuary, where skulls and bones are meticulously arranged along the walls.

After the temple visit, stroll through the streets of Lampa to admire colonial architecture, including the Casona Frisancho. Pass by the Municipality of Lampa, a notable pink ashlar building, and the Cal y Canto bridge, renowned for its beauty despite its recent collapse.

On the return to Puno, stop at a local market for some shopping. This is a great opportunity to purchase souvenirs.
