Lampa, Pucará & Tinajani Tour

History and nature merge in this tour to Lampa, Pucara and Tinajani. We'll enjoy the architecture of the pink city, we'll see pre-Inca archaeological sites and we'll discover one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of the department of Puno.

Description

After picking you up at your hotel in Puno at the scheduled time, we'll begin our tour to Pucará and Lampa.

Our first stop will be at Lampa, known as the city of the seven wonders. We'll spend an hour and a half on a guided tour of the historic center of Lampa, exploring its colorful houses and visiting the church of Santiago Apostle, the main temple of the town, where we will learn about its history from the 17th century.

Next, we will head to Pucará, where we will visit the lithic museum showcasing cave sculptures and ceramics of ancient Pucara culture. Following this, we will explore the archaeological site of Pucará, which dates back to 200 BC. This site features ancient ruins and stepped pyramids dedicated to various deities.

You'll then have free time for lunch before we proceed to the cañón de Tinajani for a walking tour of its impressive rock formations.

The excursion concludes after 10 hours of sightseeing, with a drop-off at your hotel in Puno.
