Puno Day Tour
At the agreed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel to begin our tour of Puno, located on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
The tour will commence with a guided walk of the Arch of Independence or Deusta, built in honor of patriots from the battles of Junin and Ayacucho. Nearby, we will climb to the viewpoint of Wajsapata for a view of the bay of Puno and a sculpture of Manco Cápac, founder of the Inca Empire.
Next, we'll pass through Pino park towards the historic center of Puno, visiting the church of San Juan, which houses the image of the Virgin of Candelaria.
Continuing our journey, we will visit Lima Boulevard, a commercial street, until we reach the Plaza de Armas, where we will see the cathedral and the Count of Lemos balcony, located in the residence of the viceroy since his arrival in Puno in 1668.
After this visit, we'll board a bus to the Yavari Museum Ship, a 19th-century gunboat that was part of the Peruvian Navy, built in England and transported to Lake Titicaca. We will explore the museum and learn about its significance as the first museum ship in Peru.
To conclude our 4-hour tour, we'll take you back to your hotel in Puno.
