Explore the famous 'Route of the Sun' from Puno to Cusco, visiting places in southern Peru such as Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, and Pukara.

Description

The Ruta del Sol is a must-do journey through southern Peru. We will meet at Avenida Costanera with Jr. Lampa and begin our trip to Pukara.

Our first stop is the Pukara interpretation center, home of the iconic Pukara bulls, symbols of protection and prosperity in the region.

Next, we will proceed to La Raya pass for a brief photo opportunity at over 4300 meters above sea level.

Afterward, we’ll enjoy a hearty buffet lunch at a local restaurant. We will then visit the archaeological site of Raqchi, where we’ll explore the remains of the ancient temple dedicated to the God Wiracocha.

Our final stop is in Andahuaylillas to view the church of San Pedro Apóstol, known as the "Sistine Chapel of America." We will conclude the journey in Cusco, arriving at approximately 5 pm.
