Cruise Across Lake Titicaca & Visit Isla del Sol

Beginning with convenient hotel pickup in Puno, our adventure leads southwards to cross into Bolivia and arrive at Copacabana.

Prior to our departure to Isla del Sol, we will visit the renowned Sanctuary of Copacabana. At the port, you'll board a comfortable catamaran that will glide across the serene waters of Lake Titicaca toward the mystical Isla del Sol. Enjoy a tasty snack as we journey across the lake, satisfying your cravings.

Upon reaching Yumani, located at the southern extremity of Isla del Sol, we will explore the sacred grounds revered as the birthplace of the deities associated with the Inca Empire. This site features incredible archaeological remnants, including an impressive network of terraces referred to as the Inca Garden. Our excursion will lead us up the iconic Inca Staircase to the Sacred Fountain, where local folklore regards the underground water springs as a "fountain of youth" due to their reputed healing benefits.

Next, we will visit the impressive Inti Wata Complex, recognized as Bolivia's premier private tourist site, which can only be accessed by those arriving on a catamaran from Isla del Sol. Here, you’ll encounter the Ekako underground museum, along with centers focused on Traditional Medicine and the construction of totora rafts, a craft center, the Intica shelter, an Inca agriculture botanical garden, and a diverse variety of Andean camelids.

After uncovering the mysteries and tales of the ancient Inca civilization, we will make our way back to the port of Yumani to board the catamaran that will return us to Copacabana. A delicious buffet meal awaits you on board, featuring quinoa soup, assorted salads, trout with Dijon or chicken in sauce served with spring rice, sautéed potatoes or cooked banana, and a delightful dessert (ice cream or fruit salad).

Returning to Copacabana, we will then head back to the hotels in Puno, concluding our enriching experience approximately 11 hours later.

Ending the Tour in La Paz

If you choose, your booking can include an option to conclude the tour in La Paz. In this scenario, we will take a bus from Copacabana to La Paz, with the tour expected to wrap up around 7 pm.
