Tour Details
If you go to Puno, it's probably to visit the famous Lake Titicaca; the world's highest navigable lake. This tour offers a way to see the lake and visit its unique floating islands.
The tour starts with hotel pickup in Puno, followed by a trip to the port. You'll then board a boat and sail on the lake for approximately one hour. It's notable that 60% of the lake is in Peru, and 40% is in Bolivia. Enjoy incredible views along the way.
You'll soon reach the floating islands, man-made islands constructed by the Uru people from layers of cut totora, a buoyant reed. The Uros harvest and add these reeds to maintain the islands. This is a unique experience.
Learn how these islands are made and about the traditional lifestyle of the Uru people. After exploring, we'll sail back to the port of Puno and return you to your hotel.
Hotel Pickup
The tour includes hotel pickup from accommodations in central Puno. If located on the outskirts, you should arrive by 6 am at Jiron Arequipa 666, corner of Arequipa and Puno.
Please note that pickup is not available from certain locations, including GHL Lago Titicaca, Casa Andina Premium, Sonesta Posada, and hotels located on the Uros Islands.
