Boat Ride + Hiking in Cape Froward

Join us on a boat trip through the Strait of Magellan to Cape Froward, the southernmost point of the American mainland. The tour includes a hike to the Cross of the Seas.

Cape Froward Adventure Tour Highlights

We will collect you from your hotel in Punta Arenas at the designated time and travel to the Punta Arbol pier, where the boat excursion begins. This journey includes navigating through the Strait of Magellan, connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.

While sailing, you will observe various landscapes, including Magellanic forests, Andean peaks, and fjords. Key sights include Mount Tarn, the San Isidro lighthouse, and various bays such as El Águila, El Indio, San Nicolás, and Rosas. We will continue towards Mount Sarmiento and may observe southern dolphins and sea lions depending on the conditions.

Upon reaching Cape Froward, we will begin a one-hour hiking expedition to the Cross of the Seas, one of the southernmost crucifixes in the world. The views from here encompass part of the Alberto de Agostini National Park.

Following the hike, we will provide a picnic lunch featuring sandwiches, nuts, and tea or coffee. The return trip to Punta Arbol will lead us back to Punta Arenas, with an expected arrival at your hotel around 12 hours after the initial pickup.
