Tierra del Fuego Day Trip

Majestic King penguins, incredible landscapes and a unique museum await on our Tierra del Fuego Day Trip from Punta Arenas. We'll see the only penguin colony of this species in South America.

Tierra del Fuego Day Trip

Pick-up from your hotel in Punta Arenas will be between 7:15 am and 7:45 am, followed by a minibus ride to the Tres Puentes dock. From there, a ferry will take us to Tierra del Fuego.

The boat trip lasts around 2 hours through the Strait of Magellan, arriving at our destination where we will visit the city of Porvenir. We will explore the Provincial Museum of Tierra del Fuego, which aims to preserve and share the region’s history and nature. Afterwards, you will have free time for lunch at local restaurants.

Post lunch, we will proceed to Inútil Bay to visit King Penguin Park, home to South America's only colony of King penguins in their natural habitat.

We will then return to the ferry for the journey back to Punta Arenas, dropping you off at your hotel between 8:30 pm and 9 pm.
