Whale Watching in Patagonia
After meeting at the scheduled time on Calle José Nogueira in Punta Arenas, we'll transfer to Carrera Bay, where we'll board a boat and set sail on the waters of the Strait of Magellan.
During the first part of the boat trip, we will enjoy the sunrise over Tierra del Fuego and the Fuerte Bulnes fort, the first Chilean construction on the Strait of Magellan.
We'll pass in front of Cape Froward, the southerly most point on the mainland of America. From the boat, you'll see elephant seals and sea lions resting on the rocks. You'll also have the opportunity to admire humpback whales as these creatures are native to these protected waters, part of the Francisco Coloane Marine Park. Additionally, we'll approach the glaciers of Santa Inés Island.
Around midday, we will recharge with a tasty lunch on board the boat, before slowly making our way back to Punta Arenas, enjoying the landscapes of this remote corner of Patagonia along the way.
The tour ends back at the original departure point.
