Whale Watching in Patagonia
After meeting at the scheduled time on Calle José Nogueira in Punta Arenas, we will transfer to Carrera Bay to board a boat and set sail on the waters of the Strait of Magellan.
During the first part of the trip, enjoy the sunrise over Tierra del Fuego and Fuerte Bulnes. This fort is the first Chilean construction on the Strait of Magellan. The warm glow from the rising sun will enhance the experience.
We will pass in front of Cape Froward, the southernmost point on the mainland of America. From the boat, observe elephant seals and sea lions on the rocks. You will also have the chance to admire humpback whales in these protected waters, part of the Francisco Coloane Marine Park, and approach the glaciers of Santa Inés Island.
Around midday, we will enjoy a tasty lunch on board the boat before proceeding slowly back to Punta Arenas, taking in the spectacular landscapes of this remote area of Patagonia.
The tour concludes back at the original departure point.
