Hike with Llamas in Purmamarca
The hike begins in front of the Church of Purmamarca at 3 pm, joined by a traditional Andean llama caravan.
During this experience, participants will act as caravaneers for the day. Discussions will center on the journeys of Purmamarca's ancestors, who traveled from local salt flats to valleys to exchange salt for corn, highlighting the importance of these products.
The route includes several low trails, with stops to learn about the landscape and local culture. Participants will encounter a variety of colorful hills and learn about their unique hues.
Throughout the hike, information will be shared on main endemic plants including molles, churquis, pencas, and airampos, noted for their medicinal and nutritional properties.
The hike concludes at 6 pm, returning to the meeting point to bid farewell to the llamas.
