Hornaditas Trip
We will depart from your hotel at 9 am and set off on an exciting trip through the landscapes of northern Argentina.
The first stop will be at Quebrada de Sapagua, where we will take a one-hour trek to see its famous rock art. We will discuss the meaning behind the images and the history of this area from the Inca period to the arrival of the Spanish.
Near Sapagua is the community of Hornaditas, where inhabitants will invite us into their traditional family homes. They will explain the main customs and traditions of the community. We will learn to operate their looms and bake their cakes.
We will share a traditional lunch with the community, featuring specialties of local gastronomy. In between dishes, the hosts will share anecdotes and facts about life in this area of northern Argentina.
After lunch, we will return to your hotel in Purmamarca, arriving at 6 pm.
