Purmamarca Hiking Activity at Night

At 7 pm, we'll set off from the Church of Purmamarca on our nighttime hiking activity through this picturesque town in the province of Jujuy. The beauty of the Andean sky awaits!

As we watch the stars twinkle in the sky, we'll learn some fun facts about local culture. Our hike begins in front of the church, where we appreciate the cultural identity of the quebradeña, formed over more than 10,000 years. We'll also pass by the cemetery of Purmamarca, where we will discover traditions linked to the celebrations of the dead in November.

Our route includes numerous archaeological findings that help us to understand Purmamarca's history. Under the star-covered sky, we'll discuss stories related to Andean cosmovision.

Along the way, we'll explore the ancestral knowledge of the Purmamarca people, who guide walkers through the Chakana and other hills.

We will conclude our nighttime hike back at the meeting point, where we will say our goodbyes at 9 pm.
