Purmamarca Hiking Activity at Night

At 7 pm, we'll set off from the Church of Purmamarca on our nighttime hike through this picturesque town in the province of Jujuy. The beauty of the Andean sky awaits.

As we watch the stars twinkle, we'll learn about the local culture. The hike begins in front of the church, appreciating the cultural identity of the quebradeña, formed over more than 10,000 years. We'll pass by the cemetery of Purmamarca, discovering traditions linked to the celebrations of the dead in November.

Our route will take us past numerous archaeological findings relevant to Purmamarca's history. With the sky covered in stars, we will learn stories related to Andean cosmovision.

We'll discuss the ancestral knowledge of the Purmamarca people, renowned for guiding walkers through the Chakana and other hills.

The nighttime hike concludes back at the meeting point, where we'll say our goodbyes at 9 pm.
