Yavi and Quiaca Trip
After picking you up from your hotel in Purmamarca at 9 am, we will take National Route 9 to the most northern area of Argentina.
We will travel through the landscapes of the Argentinean Puna until we reach the picturesque town of Yavi. Here, we will explore the historic center, which includes the House of the Marquis of Tojo, the water mill, and the church of San Francisco de Asis, notable for its gold laminated altar.
At the end of the tour of Yavi, we will climb to the top of the Cerro de los Ocho Hermanos (Hill of Eight Brothers) to enjoy views of the municipality and the nearby Laguna Colorada.
Next, we will continue to La Quiaca, a border town between Argentina and Bolivia, where we will discuss the International Bridge of Villazón that connects the two countries. You will then have one hour free for lunch in La Quiaca (not included), an opportunity to experience both Argentinean and Bolivian cuisine. After lunch, we will return to your hotel in Purmamarca, arriving at 6 pm.
