Join us on an unforgettable adventure to one of the most spectacular parts of the Chilean Andean Altiplano on our day trip to the Suriplaza Colourful Mountains.

Suriplaza Colourful Mountains Day Trip

Pick up from your hotel in Putre is at 7 am, after which we head to the Suriplaza mountains. The journey includes passing by the 19,225-foot (5,860-metre) high Taapacá Volcano and the village of Colpita, before taking a detour to admire the Suriplaza Mountains.

During the trip, we will look for local wildlife, including vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas, and learn about their adaptation to the Andean climate. A picnic lunch featuring sandwiches, dried fruits, nuts, chocolate, and juice will be provided.

After lunch, we will continue to explore the scenery around Suriplaza and visit nearby villages such as Cosapilla and Caquena.

Before returning to Putre, we will stop briefly in Putre and will drop you off at your hotel between 1 and 3 pm.
