Surire Salt Flat Day Trip

At 7 am, we'll depart from your hotel in Putre towards the Las Vicuñas National Reserve. South of this protected area, near the Bolivian border, lies the Surire Salt Flat Natural Monument.

During the tour, at an altitude of 13,927 feet (4,245 metres), we will observe one of South America's major nesting sites for flamingos. The Andean region is also home to animals such as rheas, vicuñas, alpacas, llamas, and guallatas.

We will navigate areas featuring rivers, lagoons, volcanoes, and high-altitude wetlands, and visit inhabited locations like the village of Guallatire and its church.

A break will be included for a picnic lunch, which will consist of sandwiches, dried fruits, chocolates, and natural juices. After lunch, we will proceed to the Polloquere Hot Springs.

We will return to Putre and drop you off at your hotel between 5 and 7 pm.
