Willacaurane & Petacane Apacheta Hike
At the designated time, pick up will be at your hotel in Putre to head towards the Andean foothills of the Chilean altiplano located in the North of the country.
The first stop is at 3460 meters above sea level for the initial stage of a trekking route lasting approximately 7 hours. This segment occurs in Willacaurane, an archaeological site featuring rock paintings estimated to be between 4000 and 6000 years old.
After viewing these artworks, travel proceeds to Petacane Apacheta, known for hosting various religious ceremonies. The second trekking stage allows for appreciation of the mountain scenery.
A picnic including sandwiches, dried fruits, chocolates, and natural juices is provided during a rest stop to enjoy the views. After lunch, the journey continues through this scenic area of northern Chile.
The hike concludes by returning to the starting point, followed by a trip back to your hotel in Putre. Arrival at your hotel is expected 6 or 7 hours after pickup.
