5 Day Circuit of North Vietnam

Day 1: Hanoi – Halong Bay Cruise

Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi is scheduled between 8 am and 8:30 am. We will travel to Halong Bay for a boat cruise, enjoying views of the karst islands and a traditional Vietnamese meal. Kayaking and a cooking class will follow, concluding with dinner on board.

Day 2: Halong Bay Cruise – Hanoi – Sapa

After breakfast at 8 am, we will participate in a Tai chi class on the deck. Post-return to port at around 3 pm, enjoy 6 hours of free time in Hanoi before taking a sleeper bus to Sapa for the night.

Day 3: Sapa – Ta Van – Lao Chai – Y Linh Ho

Arriving in Sapa, we will drop off luggage, have breakfast, and embark on a 12-mile hike through rice paddies with lunch in Lao Chai. Evening includes dinner with rice liquor.

Day 4: Ta Van – Hanoi

After breakfast, participate in a 7-kilometer trek to a waterfall for a swim. We will return to the hotel before departing for Hanoi, arriving around 9:30 pm.

Day 5: Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Hanoi

Departure at 7:15 am for Ninh Binh. Visit Hoa Lu and Mua Cave, followed by a meal and a visit to Bich Dong Pagoda. Enjoy a 1.5-hour boat ride in Van Long Nature Reserve. Return to Hanoi and conclude the tour at 6:30 pm.

Accommodation includes 4 nights as follows:

Standard accommodation:

1st night: cruise in a standard cabin.2nd night: bus seat on a sleeper bus.3rd night: traditional accommodation in a private bungalow in Sapa.4th night: Republik Backpackers Hostel in a private room.

Deluxe accommodation:

1st night: cruise in a deluxe cabin.2nd night: bus seat on a sleeper bus.3rd night: private bungalow with view in Sapa.4th night: La Siesta Classic Ma May Hanoi 4* hotel.

Hotel pick up

The tour includes pick-up between 8 am and 8:30 am from selected hotels in the historical center of Hanoi.

Minimum group size

Reservations for standard cabins require at least 2 people.

Changes in the itinerary

If the circuit starts on Wednesday or Friday, the itinerary will include Ninh Binh on the first day, with subsequent days in Halong Bay and then Ta Van.
