Spend a full day exploring Vietnam's significant sites: Hoa Lu, the ancient capital, and the stunning scenery of Tam Coc, featuring rice fields and caves.

Tour Details

Pickup will be at your hotel in Hanoi at the scheduled time, followed by a two-hour drive to the Ninh Binh region, with a 20-minute stop for traditional Vietnamese souvenirs such as lacquerware, paintings, or embroidery.

Upon arrival in Hoa Lu, we will visit the citadel that served as Vietnam's capital in the 10th century, characterized by notable temples, pagodas, and monuments.

Around midday, we will proceed to Tam Coc for lunch in a local restaurant. After the meal, a rowboat ride along the Ngo Dong River will allow you to explore the rice fields and see three caves known as the 'magic grottoes': Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba. This journey highlights the region's historical significance.

After a day of scenic landscapes, you will return to Hanoi, arriving at your hotel 11 hours after departure.

Rice Fields in Tam Coc

In Tam Coc, rice is harvested once a year, with sowing in February and harvesting in May, making these months ideal for visiting. The landscape is beautiful at any time of year.
