Four-Day Exploration of Northern Vietnam

Day 1: Hanoi – Tu?n Châu – Ha Long Bay Cruise

Beginning our journey in central Hanoi, we will travel to uncover the treasures of northern Vietnam. The minibus ride to the northeast coast takes us through the charming agricultural landscapes characteristic of this region. A brief stop along the way allows us to stretch before reaching the harbor in Tu?n Châu, from which we will commence our cruise on Ha Long Bay.

Once aboard the vessel, you'll relish breathtaking views of the iconic karst formations of Ha Long Bay from the panoramic viewing decks. It’s no surprise that this remarkable natural wonder, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, ranks among the most enchanting destinations in Southeast Asia.

After unwinding and recharging with a savory Vietnamese lunch in the boat’s dining area, we'll embark on a kayaking adventure through Ha Long Bay. Get ready to navigate its limestone caves and appreciate its jagged islets up close! We will paddle across the crystal-clear waters for nearly an hour before returning to the boat to freshen up and join a Vietnamese cooking demonstration on the deck!

The first day concludes with a delicious dinner on the boat.

Day 2: Ha Long Bay Cruise – Hanoi – T? Van (Sapa)

After relishing a delightful breakfast aboard, we’ll begin the day with a Tai Chi session. Experience the tranquility and wellness benefits this martial art has to offer!

Afterward, enjoy some leisure time, allowing you to take advantage of the boat’s amenities—whether you're sunbathing on the loungers or enjoying a rejuvenating dip in the outdoor hot tubs! The two-day cruise will wrap up as we return to Tu?n Châu, then we'll head back to Hanoi.

Upon our return to the capital city, we will board a bus for an overnight journey north to T? Van, a charming town close to the renowned Sapa rice terraces.

Day 3: T? Van (Sapa) – Lao Ch?i – Linh H?

We’ll arrive at T? Van's bus station early in the morning, but not before stopping at Hoang Lien National Park to visit a local family's home and gain insight into their way of life.

Once at T? Van station, a minibus will be ready to transport us to the traditional homestay where we will spend the night. Hosted by an ethnic Zay family, we’ll be welcomed into their home with a hearty breakfast.

Reenergized, we’ll embark on a trekking route spanning 7-12 kilometers (4-7 miles) guided by a local expert. As we traverse the verdant jungles and marvel at the famous terraced rice fields, you will learn about the daily lives of the diverse ethnic groups inhabiting this area.

Along the river’s path, we’ll reach Lao Ch?i, where you'll have a chance to visit the village school before being welcomed into another local home for a traditional meal. We will then continue our trek, passing through several small villages, including Linh H?, eventually returning to our homestay for dinner and a restful sleep before the final day of our tour.

Day 4: Jungle Trek – Sapa – Hanoi

After a shared breakfast at our homestay, we will set off for our second trek through the spectacular landscapes of Sapa. This segment takes us to the valley's highest point, where we will enjoy the exhilarating experience of swimming in hidden waterfalls. Our path will also take us through stunning bamboo forests that create an awe-inspiring atmosphere.

Concluding our hike back at the homestay, we’ll partake in a final lunch with our Zay family hosts before bidding farewell. After the meal, we’ll make our way to Sapa town via minibus, where you’ll have an hour of free time to explore.

Finally, we will reconvene at the Sapa bus station to start our return to Hanoi, arriving back between 9:30 pm and 10:00 pm after an extraordinary exploration of northern Vietnam.

Accommodation Options

The four-day adventure includes three nights of lodging. You can choose from two different accommodation categories during the booking process:

Standard Accommodation

1st night (cruise): standard cabin with private bathroom.2nd night: night bus.3rd night (homestay in Sapa): shared room with fellow travelers.

Deluxe Accommodation

1st night (cruise): standard cabin with private bathroom.2nd night: night bus.3rd night (homestay in Sapa): private bungalow accommodating a maximum of two guests.

Hotel Pickup

This tour includes a pickup service from hotels located within Hanoi's Old Quarter. The pickup occurs between 8:00 am and 8:30 am.

Pricing Information

The stated prices are per person based on double occupancy (either in a standard cabin or other shared accommodations).Reservations for standard accommodation require at least two individuals per booking.
