Explore some of New Zealand's most amazing landscapes that have served as set locations for numerous Hollywood films on this excursion to Glenorchy and Paradise from Queenstown.

Glenorchy & Paradise Excursion

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at The Station tourist information center. We will depart for Glenorchy and Paradise, located 45 minutes away.

Before reaching Glenorchy, there will be a stop in Arrowtown to try a local wine.

Glenorchy, on the north shore of Lake Wakatipu, is the gateway to locations featured in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.

During the tour, we will observe incredible landscapes from the minibus, with several stops for photo opportunities. We will also provide a breakfast or snack, depending on the time, including tea, kiwis, cakes, cheese, and chocolates.

Participants will admire the Dart and Rees rivers, see towering mountains, visit Diamond Lake, and check out the Glenorchy Wharf Shed, notable for its bright red color against the green backdrop.

While exploring Glenorchy, the history of the first Maori communities in the area will be discussed.

The tour will also cover Paradise, which served as a filming location for The Chronicles of Narnia in rural Otago.

After approximately 4 to 4.5 hours, the excursion will conclude at the departure point in Queenstown.
