Explore some of New Zealand's most amazing landscapes that have served as set locations for numerous Hollywood films on this excursion to Glenorchy and Paradise from Queenstown.

Glenorchy & Paradise Excursion

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at The Station tourist information center. Departing from Queenstown, we will proceed to Glenorchy and Paradise, approximately 45 minutes away.

Before reaching Glenorchy, we will stop in Arrowtown to sample local wine.

Glenorchy, located on the north shore of Lake Wakatipu, serves as the gateway to the settings of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.

During the tour, we will travel in a minibus, making several stops for photographs. A breakfast or snack will be provided, depending on timing, including tea, kiwis, cakes, cheese, and chocolates.

We will view the Dart and Rees rivers, observe mountains, check out Diamond Lake, and visit the Glenorchy Wharf Shed, a small wooden structure recognized for its bright red color against the green landscape.

As we explore Glenorchy, discussions will cover the first Maori communities in the area.

The excursion will also explore notable locations in Paradise that appeared in films, including The Chronicles of Narnia.

After 4 to 4.5 hours, the tour will conclude back at the departure point in Queenstown.
