Day Trip Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Queenstown to start our trip to Milford Sound Fjord. Once on board the minibus, we head to the west coast of New Zealand.

As we leave Queenstown, we'll drive along the scenic Wakatipu Lake, taking in views of The Remarkables mountain range.

During the three-and-a-half-hour drive, we'll see forests, small towns, rivers, and springs, including Lake Te Anau, the second largest in New Zealand. We will make several stops at Mirror Lake, Eglinton Valley, and Monkey Creek to admire the surroundings.

As we approach Milford Sound, we'll encounter Gunn Lake, Hollyford River, and Falls Creek. Before boarding the boat for the fjord cruise, we will provide a picnic lunch for you to enjoy at your convenience.

For two hours, we'll view cascading waterfalls, lush vegetation, and towering mountains, including Mitre Peak. Look for native birds, sea lions, and possibly dolphins.

After the tour, we'll return to Queenstown hotels, arriving approximately 13 hours after pickup.
