Day Trip around Santiago de Queretaro

On this day trip to San Joaquín and Cadereyta de Montes, we'll explore two Magical Villages and the archaeological site of Toluquilla.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in downtown Santiago de Queretaro. We will journey to San Joaquín and Cadereyta de Montes.

First, we'll head to the village of San Joaquin, surrounded by the forested mountains. Our first stop will be the heart of San Joaquin's downtown, where we can explore its streets, followed by a visit to the Mining Museum.

Next, we'll delve into the Gruta de los Herrera, a cave featuring remarkable stalactites and stalagmites.

We will then arrive at the archaeological site of Toluquilla, notable for its structures related to the ancient ball game and pre-Hispanic heritage.

On our return to Santiago, we will stop at Cadereyta de Montes for lunch at local restaurants. This town has been recognized as a Magical Village since 2011 and is known for its barbacoa and pulque. You will have time to visit its haciendas, the planetarium, and the botanical gardens.

After 12 hours of exploration, we will conclude our day back at your hotel in Santiago de Queretaro.
