Querétaro Wine & Cheese Tour

Do you want to sample the finest Mexican products? On this tour, we'll enjoy the delicious wines and cheeses from the state of Querétaro, whose vineyards blend perfectly with the landscape.

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the Querétaro Regional Museum. We'll travel to the Magical Town of Tequisquiapan, known for its cobbled streets and wine-making tradition.

After an hour's drive, our first stop will be at the La Mexicana Olé delicatessen, where we'll taste artisan cheeses and an exquisite Querétaro wine. An expert sommelier will introduce us to the nuances of flavour and aroma of each variety.

You'll have 2 hours of free time in Tequisquiapan to explore the main square, visit craft markets, or try the local cheese bread. We'll regroup to continue to Freixenet de México, a renowned winery.

At the winery, we'll learn about the wine-making process, including harvesting and fermentation. We'll visit the underground cellars located 25 m (82 ft) below ground and taste a wine from the winery, receiving a souvenir glass as a memento.

Next, we'll proceed to the Magic Town of San Sebastián de Bernal for 2 hours of free time to have lunch, explore the village, and view the Peña de Bernal, the third-largest monolith in the world.

Finally, we'll return to Santiago de Querétaro, concluding this 9-hour activity at the meeting point.
