Description

Our adventure begins at 8 am at Quero Park, where we'll set off on a hiking expedition through Cerro Igualata, standing at 4,385 meters (14,385 feet) above sea level, on the border between Tungurahua and Chimborazo.

After reaching a hacienda on the outskirts of Quero, we'll commence our trek towards the southern edge of the estate, embarking on a 15-kilometer (9.3-mile) journey through one of the rare páramo ecosystems in Tungurahua province.

Over the course of five hours, we'll navigate this natural landscape, exploring the thriving plant life and abundant wildlife while sharing insights along the way.

At the midpoint, we'll take a break for a sandwich. With renewed energy, we will commence our return journey through a pine forest, following the Toro Singuna trail, where we may see diverse wildlife.

Upon our return to the hacienda, a traditional lunch will await us, providing the opportunity to savor local flavors. You'll also have time to explore the estate's grounds.

Finally, after a total of nine hours, we'll conclude our excursion back at the meeting point in Quero.
