On this guided tour of the Barceló Rum Historical Centre, we'll visit the facilities of the most famous rum factory in the Dominican Republic. We'll also enjoy tasting.

Description

Located on the outskirts of San Pedro de Macorís , the Barceló Rum Historical Centre is the most famous rum factory in the Dominican Republic. To visit its facilities, we will meet at the main entrance at the scheduled time.

We will start in the barrel room, where we will learn about the aging process of rum, sugarcane cultivation, and the distillation phases that contribute to the high quality of the product.

Next, in the blending room, we will discover how the drink's consistency, taste, smell, and color are achieved, making it a key Dominican product internationally.

The tour will continue in the bottling, labelling, and packaging rooms, providing insight into how rum is distributed globally. You will learn how many countries this drink reaches.

The tour concludes at the tasting bar with a tasting of your selection made during booking, lasting about an hour.
