On this guided tour of the Barceló Rum Historical Centre, we'll visit the facilities of the most famous rum factory in the Dominican Republic. We'll also enjoy tasting.

Description

Located on the outskirts of San Pedro de Macorís , the Barceló Rum Historical Centre is the most famous rum factory in the Dominican Republic. To visit its facilities, we will meet at the main entrance at the scheduled time.

We will first proceed to the barrel room, to learn about the aging process of the rum, the cultivation of sugarcane, and the phases of distillation that contribute to the high-quality product.

Next, we will enter the blending room, where we will observe how the desired consistency, taste, smell, and colour are achieved, culminating in a product that is a key Dominican export.

The tour continues through the bottling, labelling, and packaging rooms, which will clarify how rum is distributed worldwide. You will learn how many countries this drink reaches.

After approximately an hour, the visit concludes at the tasting bar, where you will enjoy a tasting of your choice made during your booking.
