Avenue of the Volcanoes 2 Day Tour

More than 70 volcanoes line both sides of the Equator, forming the mythical Avenue of the Volcanoes. On this 2-day tour from Quito, we'll travel through this area of the Ecuadorian highlands and visit Quilotoa Volcano.

Avenue of the Volcanoes 2-Day Tour

Day 1

We'll leave Quito in the morning and travel into the Ecuadorian highlands, crossing the country's biggest volcanic area. This 186-mile (300 km) corridor, known as the Avenida de los Volcanes, features over 70 volcanoes.

Our first stop will be Lasso for breakfast. Then, we'll head to Tigua to visit an indigenous house and learn about its traditions.

Continuing, we'll see the Toachi River Canyon before arriving in Quilotoa. We will hike to the lake inside the crater, one of the region's notable landscapes. After visiting the Quilotoa lagoon, we'll proceed to our hotel in Baños for the night.

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll visit Mega Park Río Blanco, where you'll have free time for extreme sports like zip lining or crossing the glass bridge.

Next, we'll hike to Agoyan Pailón del Diablo and Manto de la Novia waterfalls. We'll also visit a tree house and swim in Greenland. Afterward, we’ll return to Quito, arriving at the pickup hotels around 4 or 5 pm.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night's accommodation with breakfast at the Gala Hotel or similar. The price per person is based on two people sharing a double room with a private bathroom. Individual travelers in a single room will incur an additional charge.
