Ayahuasca Ceremony at Templo Jempe

Description

We will meet at the main entrance of the Iñaquito Shopping Centre and head towards Templo Jempe, specializing in holistic medicine. After a 30-minute bus journey, we will arrive at our destination to experience this ancestral ritual of the Amazonian people.

Initially, there will be a brief introduction to the shamans of indigenous communities. The ceremony will open with a drink made from guayusa, a plant native to the Ecuadorian Amazon known for its antioxidant properties and purifying benefits.

We will then begin the ayahuasca ceremony, where the healer will guide you to connect with your inner self. The ritual includes cleansing with natural snuff—a mixture of ground tobacco and medicinal leaves. The experience will be enhanced by Andean flutes and native instruments.

Note that the ceremony lasts all night. The following day, a menu featuring typical Ecuadorian vegetarian dishes and a cocoa drink will be served. After a total of 12 and a half hours, we will return you to the meeting point in Quito.

Completion of the Activity

At booking, you can choose whether to return to the starting point in Quito or stay at the Templo Jempe Centre.
