Discover three beautiful volcanic lakes surrounded by a vast moorland on our Fuya Fuya Hill Hike. We'll set off from Quito and spend the day in a breathtaking natural area.

Fuya Fuya Hill Hike

We will meet at 7:30 am in front of the Tribuna de los Shyris in Quito and proceed to the Mojanda Lagoons. After arrival, we will begin our hike to the top of Fuya Fuya Hill, with a breakfast stop in Cayambe.

The 3-hour route will take us through scenic landscapes featuring three stratovolcanic lakes: Karikucha, Yanakucha, and Warmikucha, with potential sightings of alpacas.

We will traverse several moorlands until reaching Fuya Fuya Hill, peaking at an elevation of 13,779 feet (4,200 metres) above sea level. From the summit, panoramic views of the Imbabura, Cayambe, llinizas, Cotopaxi, and Cotacachi Volcanoes await.

While enjoying the views, we will have a sandwich and a drink for refreshment before descending to our vehicle for a visit to the poncho fair in Otavalo, known for its arts and crafts.

After visiting Otavalo, we will return to the Quito meeting point and drop you off by 5 pm.
