Join us on a tour around the villages in the province of Imbabura, departing from Quito.

Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Quito and begin our tour of the most beautiful villages in Imbabura.

After boarding our minibus, we will drive for 1.5 hours to our first stop in Cayambe, where we will visit a bizococho (biscuit) factory. You may opt for a breakfast here.

We will then proceed to the city of Otavalo, making a photo stop at Lake San Pablo to see Taita Imbabura. In Otavalo, we will walk through the Plaza de Ponchos, one of Ecuador's oldest traditional markets, to learn about local life.

Next, we will embark on a boat trip on Cuicocha Lagoon, where we will hear about legends and the area's history, including its formation from a phreatic eruption 3,100 years ago.

After the lake visit, you will have free time to have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit Cotacachi, known for its leather products, and explore shops with handicrafts.

Before returning to Quito, we will stop at a shop where you can buy chocolates made from the best cocoa in the country.

After a day of sightseeing, we will return to Quito, arriving 12 hours after departure.
