Tour Details
We will pick you up from your hotel in Quito at the designated time to start the tour of the most beautiful villages in Imbabura.
After boarding our minibus, we will drive for 1.5 hours to our first stop: Cayambe. Here, you can visit a bizococho factory and enjoy a breakfast.
Next, we will head to the city of Otavalo, making a brief photo stop at Lake San Pablo to view Taita Imbabura. In Otavalo, we will explore the Plaza de Ponchos, one of Ecuador's oldest traditional markets, and learn about local life.
We will then take a boat trip on the Cuicocha Lagoon, where we will hear legends about the lagoon, formed by a phreatic eruption 3,100 years ago.
After the lake visit, you will have free time for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Cotacachi, known for its leather products, where you can shop for handicrafts.
Our return to Quito will include a brief stop at a shop for chocolates made from the best cocoa in the country. We will arrive back in Quito after 12 hours of exploring the highlighted sights of Imbabura.
