Description

We'll meet at the entrance of the Centro Comercial Iñaquito shopping centre at the indicated time and board a bus to Templo Jempe, specializing in holistic medicine. The Temazcal ceremony will begin with a bonfire and an explanation of the procedure. Temazcal is a traditional steam bath from the Mesoamerican area, practiced since pre-Hispanic times.

The ceremony involves shamans reciting ancestral chants to cleanse negative energies using soplo, medicinal snuff, and plants. Hot volcanic stones will be used to create a steam bath that detoxifies the body and mind. Relaxing sounds will be played to assist in connecting with your inner self. After the Temazcal, attendees will take a bath with moon water.

After 4 hours of rituals, time will be provided for changing clothes at the centre's facilities. The experience concludes with a vegetarian meal and pure cocoa drinks.

Goodbyes will be said before returning to the meeting point in Quito, or you may choose to remain at the Jempe Temple Center.
