Temazcal Experience at Templo Jempe

Description

We'll meet at the entrance of the Centro Comercial Iñaquito shopping centre at the indicated time and board a bus to start our journey to Templo Jempe, a centre specialising in holistic medicine.

The Temazcal ceremony will commence with a bonfire and an explanation of the procedure. The shamans will recite ancestral chants to cleanse negative energies using soplo, medicinal snuff, and plants. The four elements: water, earth, fire, and air will be invoked.

Hot volcanic stones will create a steam bath in the Temazcal, aiding in detoxification. Relaxing sounds will play to help you connect with your inner self. After the session, you'll take a bath with moon water.

After 4 hours of rituals, you will have time to change in the centre's facilities, followed by a vegetarian meal and pure cocoa drinks.

We'll then say our goodbyes and return you to the meeting point in Quito, or you may opt to stay at the Jempe Temple Center.
