At your chosen time, we will meet at the Portale di San Giorgio to start a private tour of the historic center of Ragusa. The tour begins with a visit to the Gothic-Catalan style portal, a symbol of Ragusa, highlighting its depiction of the fight between St. George and the dragon, one of the few architectural features that survived the earthquake that devastated the town.

Nearby, we will visit the Giardino Ibleo, the oldest garden in Ragusa, with views overlooking the Irminio Valley and the Iblei Mountains. Inside, we will find fountains, a palm tree avenue, and an elegant balcony that borders the garden.

Next, we will proceed to the Church of San Giacomo, notable for its wooden ceiling, Corinthian columns, statues, and paintings, before walking past elegant palaces and shops selling Sicilian ceramics and handicrafts.

We will also visit the Circolo di Conversazione, known as the Caffè dei Cavalieri, an elegant 19th-century neoclassical structure once frequented by the nobility, showcasing frescoes and chandeliers.

The tour concludes with a visit inside the San Giorgio Cathedral, a prominent example of Sicilian Baroque architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site. After approximately two hours, the tour will end at the entrance of the cathedral.
